DESPLAZADos I

A little woman, dressed in a traditional suit of the Guambianos natives of Colombia, enters the gallery. She takes a white bulk in her back. Moving with care she murmurs “This earth is not my earth. Where I can stop? This earth is not my earth…”, seating here and there without remaining to too much time in any place, gathering the sand of the ground and letting it escape between the hands. Finally she leaves the place and begins to cross the streets of Berlin in her constant search.

This performance of “INTRANSITos” is the first part of a series of actions that under the name “DESPLAZADos” are will be presented in different parts, spaces, streets of Berlin. It tries to be a reflection on the present situation of Colombia, where milliones of people has to flee from the war, the violence, the exploitation, the poverty… within the country. They are the “displaced ones”, those that they have to leave their earth, their home.
